Painting on Location-List

For me this summer I am all about painting outside on location and getting out of the studio.

It is really my favorite way to work. So I was thinking I would put a list together for artists that think about going out to paint and are not sure what they need. Having taught painting classes outside for years I know students have no idea what they need.

So here is my list.

Easel

Palette

Brushes

Medium (linseed oil mix)

Rags

Turpentine

Paintbox- filled with all colors

Canvases

Bug spray

Sunblock

Good Dog

Small radio

There have been many times over the last twenty plus years where I have forgotten various things. You make do.

Try and keep everything organized in one bag and you can go anywhere.
